Bad Losers: Okorocha replies APC insists on Uche Nwosu Candidacy

The Governor of Imo State, Rochas Okorocha, has told the leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) that he did not fight a lost battle.
The governor said all his actions in the dispute over the outcome of the governorship primary in the state, and indeed, the crises rocking the party, were thought through and calculated.

Speaking on behalf of the APC on Wednesday, the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Malam Lanre Issa-Onilu, described Okorocha and other aggrieved chieftains of the party as losers.
However, Okorocha said for all intents and purposes and in the eyes of the law, his preferred gubernatorial candidate and in-law, Uche Nwosu, remained the governorship candidate of APC for Imo State and for the 2019 elections without regard to sentiments that could be held by any other interested party.

In a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary, Sam Onwuemeodo, Okorocha said Issa-Onilu should have understood that they were all working towards the progress of the party.

“As the National Publicity Secretary of the party, Malam Onilu would have first and foremost appreciated the fact that both the National Chairman, Comr. Adams Oshiomhole, and the governors are all partners in progress with regard to the fate of the party,” he said.
