Joshua Keyzer pleaded guilty Monday to felony murder and first-degree attempted criminal sexual conduct targeting Kassandra Keyzer, which took place in June 2014 when he was 15 years old.
'I killed her, ma'am,' Keyzer told Judge Margaret Zuzich-Bakker via teleconference.

As part of a plea agreement, the prosecution will not seek a life sentence without the possibility of parole.
When he is sentenced June 15, Keyzer could face 40 to 60 years in prison., reported Mlive.com.
The horrific murder played out June 25, 2014, inside a home in Wayland Township, Michigan, belonging to Keyzer's grandmother.
Police were summoned to the residence in the 3000 block of 10th Avenue by Sharon Keyzer, who told an emergency dispatcher that her grandson had slit her throat.
Officers who responded to the scene were greeted by Mrs Keyzer holding a blood-soaked towel to her slashed neck.
They found her grandson Joshua, then 15 years old, standing on the roof of the house covered in blood and brandishing a knife.
The teenage suspect fell to the ground and tried to flee, but police caught up with him and subdued him with the help of a Taser.

At the time of her death, Kassandra Keyzer was studying computer science at Aquinas College. She and fiance Robert Johnson were set to get married July 26, 2014, almost a month to the day after her murder.
She leaves behind her toddler son, Reese, her parents and brother.
