- In a shockingly frank Rolling Stone Magazine interview, she tells all about her battles with depression, drug addiction and being a rape victim.
She was only 11 when her father died in suspicious circumstances. After his death, she spiraled into clinical depression and was put on the same anti-depressant medicine as her father. Speaking on MJ’s death, she recalled him saying that some people were out to get him and is of the belief that his death was a ‘set up’.
‘He would drop hints about people being out to get him,’ she said. ‘And at some point he was like, ‘They’re gonna kill me one day’.
She also revealed that as a suffering 14 year old, she was sexually assaulted by an older man. In true Jackson family manner, she declines to name who the person was.
Paris, now 18, seemed to have take her father’s death the hardest, resorting to drug use and had to be admitted for psychiatric treatment. ‘ I was crazy. I was actually crazy. I was going through a lot of, like, teen angst. And I was also dealing with my depression and my anxiety without any help’.
While she blames Michael’s death on his doctor Conrad Murray who was convicted of manslaughter (but only served two out of his four year jail term), she insists that the matter was bigger than him and she has ideas of who the real masterminds were: ‘It sounds like a total conspiracy theory and it sounds like bullshit, but all real fans and everybody in the family knows it.
