FORMER IMSU POLITICAL SCIENCE DIRECTOR OF SOCIALS NABBED FOR A RECENT ROBBERY ATTACK AT THE INSTITUTION'S ETF HALL


On Thursday, 6th of October 2016, a robbery suspect popularly known as "REMI" who dressed in an NYSC outfit was arrested by security operatives posted at the University OLD ETF behind photo stand for an alleged robbery attack on innocent students who were writing exam.



According to one of the security detectives popularly known as Funky, the robbery suspect; Mr. Remi was reported to him by some students who felt some unwarranted moves by him after noticing that some of their valuables were missing. He revealed that so many reports against the suspect have been filed in the past by both students and lecturers on campus but his dooms day finally caught up with him.

Mr. Funky who further revealed that over three (3) phones were recovered from him in the scene, advised Imo Stars to be security conscious while writing the ongoing examination.

Upon expressing shock and disappointment, the current governor of political science department, Comr. Jersey confirmed that the alleged corper in NYSC outfit who was nabbed in the robbery attack was a former director of socials in political science department and graduated not too long from his department.

The chief security officer upon receiving the suspect, immediately handed him over to a special security response squad from the Nigerian police force Imo State command for impersonating as an exam invigilator, an NYSC member and also allegedly stealing valuables on campus as he charged his men to do more in ensuring a secured exam period for the students. Mr. Remi who was mercilessly disgraced upon receiving numerous stripes of Cain from aggrieved men suspected to be security operatives was left with wounds all over his body.

Speaking to one of the senators representing Faculty of Science, Senator MAF who assisted the security officers to move the suspect from the scene to the security office, the victims whose lost items were recovered from the suspect thanked the security officers and all those who assisted to intervene on their behalf for responding quickly and as well urged them to continue the good work.

Responding to the victims who were students from the Faculty of Science, Senator MAF commended them for their boldness in reporting such criminal activity as he charged them to continue being vigilant and prayerful noting that second semesters are always unfriendly in terms of security across Nigerian Institutions. Senator MAF also expressed satisfaction with the current management led by the acting vice Chancellor Prof. Mrs. Victoria Adaobi Obasi, the Students Union Government with the Alliance presidents for beefing up security and drastically reducing the tension on campus and as well within students residential areas.
