Every day for the last 3 years 18-year-old Xie Xu has been carrying his disabled classmate to school on his back in Xuzhou, northern China.

Xie Xu gives Zhang Chi a piggy back for three years
Kind-hearted Xie Xu has been hailed as “the most beautiful student in China” after spending three years giving piggybacks to his disabled best friend. 19-year-old Zhang Chi suffers from muscular dystrophy, a condition that affects skeletal muscle and makes it extremely hard to walk.
For now, Xie makes at least a dozen daily trips with his friend
He also helps him with daily tasks such as cooking and washing clothes
But thanks to Xie he has never missed a single class at their Daxu High School. Xie makes at least a dozen daily trips with his friend, two hundred days per year, he also helps him with daily tasks such as cooking and washing clothes
Xie exerts positive influence on other students
Besides, Xie Xu and Zhang Chi are the top students in their class. Guo Chunxi, the deputy headmaster at their school said: “The story of the two students is so inspiring and touching. They aren’t family but Xie has been doing this for three years. He’s the most beautiful student. He also exerts positive influence on other students, who readily help Zhang. With their assistance, Zhang has never missed out on one single class.”
They virtually do everything together.
