Imsu 26th Matriculation Ceremony: Vice Chancellor Urges Fresh Students To Give Their Academic Work Top Most Priority.

Imo state university has held its 2017/2018 Matriculation ceremony to officially formalize the admission of the fresh students and welcoming them into the University. This year’s matriculation is outstanding because the university is celebrating silver jubilee of its relocation from uturu, Okigwe thus the 26th matriculation ceremony since its relocation in 1992, #Imsu_Elijah the wireless Informant discovered.
The matriculating students swore an oath of allegiance, promising to be of acceptable conduct throughout their stay in the university.

The university's Vice-chancellor Professor (Mrs.) Victoria Adaobi Obasi who was represented by dean of various faculties, during her address, re-expressed IMSU's position as the best state university in Nigeria while advising the matriculating students to give their academic work topmost priority.
The VC said,
“To our matriculating students, your matriculation marks a mile stone in your life ambition to acquire university education in one of the best state universities in the country and which moreover enjoy free education by the grace of the Imo state Government under the dynamic leadership of the visitor, (Dr) Rochas Owelle Anayo Okorocha.”
she further added
“Finally, you have to be properly guided and at all times endeavor to stay out of trouble and focus on your primary responsibilities as students.”
The vice chancellor warned the new students against joining secret cult, indecent dressing, impersonation and all forms of lateness maintaining that the university has zero tolerance for such.
