The State government during the week gave traders at the market Ultimatum of 48hrs to relocate their various businesses to a new market location at Naze and Egbeada Mbaitolu.
Reason being that the state government wants to convert the market to an ultra modern public school.
The Government vowed not to tolerate any form of resistance as the Market must go, Traders and indegenes of owerre camped there throughout the night upon the expiration of the ultimatum Saturday 26th August.
The demolition is in progress as the government forces seems to have over powered the traders.
