Lectures halted in Imo State University as students refuse to resume 2016/2017 second semester

Imo State University Students seem to have taken the bull by the horn, defying the early school resumption order by refusing to resume for 2016/2017 second semester (rain) as observed by Mr. Elijah who lead campus reporter media team around school today.

DESERTED NATURE OF ETF BUILDING

It is worth noting that the management officially slated Tuesday 18th April the resumption date for 2016/2017 second semester (rain) but students one week and still counting after the official resumption date are yet to return back to the confine of the school.

Today, we visited the campus and I have never seen the front gate walkway, popular relaxation center (LOVE GARDEN), new and old education trust fund building, faculty of humanity block, new book shop building free of people before, this is the true definition of desertedness.

Many students in IMSU are complaining that the semester break was very short, and that after using a very long period of time in the school and away from their family and friends for the first time, they were given short break

On behalf of opinion molders in IMSU, student union government IMSU, I am using this golden opportunity to urge the students (Imo stars) to resume as soon as possible, because as history has it, Imo State University, this second semester(rain) will be filled with different kinds of activities including 8th convocation ceremony, award/fresher’s night, Audition and lots of other extra-curricular activities which tends to sway students away from their studies which is sacrosanct and paramount in Imo State University Owerri.
